Diamond Guide

Welcome to Pleasure Diamonds’ diamond education section, where we explore the enchanting world of diamonds. Diamonds are not just symbols of love and commitment but also wonders of nature’s creation. Understanding the 4 Cs—carat, color, clarity, and cut—is key to appreciating the beauty and value of these precious gems.

Shapes

Welcome to Pleasure Diamonds’ diamond shapes education. Diamond shapes play a significant role in the overall appearance and style of a diamond. Each shape has its unique characteristics and allure, allowing you to choose a diamond that reflects your personality and style. Explore our guide to discover the beauty and intricacies of each diamond shape.

Know More

CUT

The cut of a diamond is perhaps the most crucial factor in determining its beauty. A well-cut diamond reflects light internally and disperses it through the top of the stone, creating brilliance, sparkle, and fire. The cut grade assesses the diamond’s proportions, symmetry, and polish, with grades ranging from Excellent to Poor.

CLARITY

Clarity refers to the presence of imperfections within a diamond, known as inclusions, and on its surface, known as blemishes. The clarity grade is determined by the size, nature, position, and quantity of these imperfections. A diamond with fewer and less visible inclusions and blemishes is considered more valuable.

COLOR

Diamonds come in a variety of colors, from colorless to light yellow or brown. The Gemological Institute of America (GIA) grades diamond color on a scale from D (colorless) to Z (light yellow or brown). The less color a diamond has, the higher its value. Even slight color variations can significantly impact a diamond’s appearance and value.

CARAT

Carat weight is often the first characteristic people think of when considering a diamond. However, it’s just one of the factors that determine a diamond’s value. A diamond’s carat weight is a measure of its size, with one carat equaling 200 milligrams. While larger diamonds are rarer and more valuable, the other Cs play a significant role in determining a diamond’s overall worth.
